The short version

  • Membership costs $49 a year; or $15 every 3 months ($5 a month); or $29 for the first year on founding terms. It includes one app listing and its review. More apps cost $19 per review.
  • We test what your listing promises and score it on eight checks. A person approves every listing. A score is our assessment, not a certification.
  • Test logins are encrypted and deleted when the review round ends. Code access is read-only and removed after the review; we keep no copy of your code.
  • We never pay to test your app or enter a real card. Declare features that cost money or take a long time, and give us test access or ask us to skip them.
  • When checkout runs through us we take 10% commission (8% for founding developers in their first 12 months of sales), plus card fees.
  • Your price here is no higher than on your own site for the same plan. For 90 days after we introduce a buyer, sales to that buyer go through us, or you pay our commission on them.
  • You give buyers at least 14 days to get a refund on a first purchase or first month, and you answer support in the time you state.

This summary is here to help you read the full text below. The full text is what applies.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

BizAppsMarket is operated by Blueridge Web Services LLC, doing business as BrainIT Consulting (“we”, “us”). These developer terms are an agreement between you and Blueridge Web Services LLC. They apply when you take a developer membership or send an app for review, and they add to our Terms of service. Where the two differ on a developer matter, these terms apply.

“You” means you and the business you represent. You confirm you are allowed to agree for it. To be paid through BizAppsMarket once checkout opens, you will complete Stripe’s onboarding, which includes identity and tax checks.

2. Membership and fees

You need a membership before you can send an app for review. The plans are:

Annual
$49 a year, paid yearly.
Every 3 months
$15 every 3 months ($5 a month), paid at the start of each 3 months.
Founding developer (first 50 only)
$29 for the first year, then $49 a year.

What a membership includes

  • One app listing and its review.
  • If the app is returned, one free resubmission within 60 days. It re-runs the checks that failed, your core claims, and all the security checks.
  • While the app is listed: uptime and security monitoring, and one full re-review a year, at our cost.

More apps. Each further app costs $19 per review, with the same free resubmission.

Founding terms

The first 50 developers to join on founding terms get:

  • $29 for the first year, then $49 a year, locked at that price for as long as the membership continues without a break;
  • 8% commission for the first 12 months after their first sale through BizAppsMarket, then 10%, which we will not raise for them while the membership continues;
  • three months of the Pro seller plan free, once that plan launches;
  • a founding badge and a feature at launch.

Renewal and cancellation

  • Memberships renew automatically: yearly plans each year, the 3-month plan every 3 months. Stripe charges the card you gave at checkout.
  • Cancel at any time under Manage membership. You keep your membership until the end of the period you paid for: the end of the year, or the end of the 3 months you last paid for.
  • When a membership ends, its listings come down at the end of the paid period.

Refunds of fees

A review is work we start straight away, so membership and review fees are not refunded once a review has started. If you cancel before sending any app for review, ask within 14 days of paying and we refund that payment.

Price changes and taxes

We may change membership or review prices by emailing you at least 30 days ahead. A new price applies from your next renewal. Founding price locks stay in place. Prices do not include taxes; where we must charge tax we add it. You are responsible for tax on your own sales.

3. The review

What we test

We test everything your listing promises, as a new customer would, and score the app out of 100 on these checks:

Does what it says
22 points
Reliability
18 points
Security
20 points
Speed
10 points
Mobile ready
10 points
Ease of use
8 points
Code health (Code-reviewed only)
7 points
Business readiness
5 points

Labels

  • Code-reviewed: we test your demo and review your code, through read-only access you give us (section 6).
  • Demo-tested: we test your demo with the test logins you give us. Code health is not checked, and the total is scaled to 100.

How scores are set

  • Tools and our AI reviewer record findings with evidence, such as a screenshot, a web address, or a file and line. A finding without evidence counts neither way.
  • Fixed, published rules turn findings into points. The AI never picks a number.
  • An app passes with 80 or more, at least 60% of the points on every check (Mobile ready has no minimum for now), and no confirmed critical security issue.
  • If one of your core claims fails, the app does not pass.

A person approves every listing

Every app that passes goes to a person, who approves it or sends it back with notes. We can decline an app that passes the checks if it breaks these terms, the law or our listing rules, and we tell you why. Apps made by the marketplace owner or staff are marked as such, take the same review, and are never approved by the person who made them.

Results and disputes

You get the full report. If you think a finding is wrong, send us your evidence and a person decides. The public listing shows the label, the review date, the check scores, a one-line summary for each check, and what was not checked. Security details stay private.

Re-tests

We monitor listed apps and re-review each one fully once a year. We may also re-test when a rating falls below 3.5 over 5 or more ratings, when refund requests pass 10% in 90 days, when someone reports a security problem, or when monitoring fails 3 days running. Re-tests are at our cost. If a listed app no longer meets the pass rules, we tell you what failed and normally give you 30 days to fix it before the listing comes down. A confirmed critical security issue can mean we pause the listing at once.

Back to contents

4. Permission to test your demo

  • You allow us to run automated tests and non-destructive security checks against the demo you give us. We do not run denial-of-service tests or password-guessing attacks. The one exception: we try 20 wrong passwords on your test account, to check that sign-ins are slowed down or blocked.
  • You confirm you have the right to give this permission, including under the terms of your hosting provider.
  • Use a demo with test data only. We create, change and delete records in it.
  • Give us two test accounts that do not share data if your app stores customer or business records. We use them to check that one customer cannot see another’s records.
  • Tell us anything we must not trigger, such as real emails, texts or payments.
Back to contents

5. Test logins and paid features

Test logins

  • We encrypt test logins (AES-256-GCM) before storing them, with a key kept apart from the database. Staff see them in full only when the review needs them, and every time they do is recorded.
  • We delete them when the review round ends: when the app is returned, approved or rejected. For a resubmission, you enter them again.
  • Give us test accounts only. Never give us a real customer’s account, or keys that reach real customer data or real money.

Features that cost money or take a long time

Some features cost money each time they run. We won’t run up a bill on your account, and we can’t pay for it ourselves. We never pay to test your app, never enter a real card, and never spend our own money inside it.

  • When you submit, declare every feature that sends real email or texts, charges cards, uses paid credits, tokens or AI generation, calls a paid service, or runs a job longer than 2 minutes.
  • For each one, either give us test access (a test mode, sandbox keys, or a free test account with enough credits for about 3 runs) or ask us to skip it.
  • A feature you ask us to skip is left out of the points, not counted as zero. Your report and listing say “Not tested by BizAppsMarket: needs paid usage”.
  • A core claim cannot be skipped. Without test access for a core claim, the app cannot pass.
  • A feature you did not declare that turns out to need payment is marked untested and counts as zero.
  • Long jobs: we wait up to 15 minutes for each job, for at most 3 long jobs per review. For anything longer, leave a finished example in the test account. We start one run and check that it starts, shows progress and handles errors.
  • Any cost of the test access you give us is yours.
Back to contents

6. Code access

For the Code-reviewed label, you give us read-only access to your code for the review.

  • What you install. Our GitHub app, on only the repositories you choose. It can read files, history and basic repository details. It cannot change your code, open pull requests or issues, see your Actions secrets, or see any repository you did not choose.
  • When we use it. Once, at the start of the review, to copy the chosen repositories into a temporary machine. The access token lasts at most one hour, and we cancel it as soon as the copy is done.
  • Where your code goes. Into a temporary, isolated machine that is cut off from the internet while your code is built, tested and scanned. Parts of your code are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for the review. Under Anthropic’s terms for API customers, that data is not used to train its models. Our job system deletes its working data within 7 days of the review.
  • What we keep. Your report and findings (file, line, the rule broken, an excerpt of up to 10 lines, and the suggested fix), build and test results, and your list of dependencies. Any secret we find is stored masked, showing only its first 4 characters. We do not keep a copy of your code. The machine and its disk are deleted when the review ends.
  • When access ends. When the review finishes, pass or fail, we uninstall the app from your GitHub account. You can uninstall it yourself at any time; if you do so during a review, the review continues as Demo-tested.
  • What we never do. Share your code with buyers or other developers, publish it, use it to build a product, or use it to train AI models.
  • We keep a record of each time we accessed your code (date, time, repository and commit), and you can ask for it.
Back to contents

7. Security findings stay private

  • Security findings are shown only to your developer account and to our staff. There are no share links.
  • We never publish how to attack an app. For a critical finding we give you the evidence (file and line), the fix, and a test that proves the fix, not the steps of an attack.
  • The public listing shows check scores and one-line summaries only.
  • If a listed app has a confirmed critical issue that puts buyers’ data at risk, we may pause the listing and tell buyers who paid through us that a security problem is being fixed, without technical details.
Back to contents

8. Fix hand-off files

With your report we may give you a fix hand-off file: a plain list of what to change, written so you or a coding assistant can work through it. Any code in it is a short sketch marked “adapt to your code”.

A fix hand-off is advice, not work we do for you: you decide which changes to make, you are responsible for testing them and for their results, and we are not liable for any loss caused by a change you make, whether or not it follows our advice. The same sentence is in every file. If you find advice that is wrong, tell us.

Back to contents

9. Your listing

  • Keep your listing accurate and complete. Promise only what the app does; we test every promise.
  • Screenshots must show the real app. Update the listing when prices, features, data handling or ownership change. A large change may lead to a re-test.
  • Link your app’s own privacy policy and terms, and give a support email that works.
  • “Developer states…” statements about sensitive data, such as HIPAA or card data, are yours. They must be true and kept up to date. We do not check them. BizAppsMarket does not certify legal or regulatory compliance. You are responsible for your app meeting the laws that apply to it.
  • You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show, copy, format and share your listing content, app name, logo and screenshots to run and promote BizAppsMarket, while the app is listed and for a reasonable time after, for copies already made. We may edit listing text for length and layout, but we will not change what a claim means without asking you.
  • You may show your label and score from BizAppsMarket, with the review date, while your app is listed. Do not suggest we endorse you beyond that.
Back to contents

10. Pricing and the price rule

Your listing uses one of these pricing models:

  • Free
  • Free to start, pay for more
  • Subscription
  • Pay as you go (credits, usage or per result)
  • One-time purchase
  • Pay what you want

The price on your listing must match what the app charges, with no extra fees the listing does not mention. For pay-as-you-go apps, say whether customers see the cost before each charge; the listing shows it only once our review confirms it.

Price rule. The price of a plan on BizAppsMarket is no higher than the price of the same plan on your own website or app.

Back to contents

11. Buyers we introduce: the 90-day rule

The rule. For 90 days after we first introduce a buyer to your app, sales of your app to that buyer go through BizAppsMarket, or you pay us our commission on them. This rule applies once checkout through BizAppsMarket is open for your app.

  • An introduction is the first time a signed-in buyer views your listing, opens your demo, clicks “Visit website”, sends you a message, or buys, on BizAppsMarket. Our introduction log records the date.
  • The commission owed is what you would have paid had the sale gone through us. For a subscription, that means each payment for as long as the subscription runs, as it would through us.
  • Existing customers are not covered. If a buyer was already your customer before our first introduction, show us your records and the rule does not apply to them.
  • Do not ask a buyer we introduced to buy from you directly during the 90 days. When messaging is available, buyers contact you through BizAppsMarket first, and your email address is shown after their first message.
  • How we find out. From our introduction log, and from what buyers, reviews, support requests or you tell us. We do not track buyers on other websites, fingerprint devices, read anyone’s email, or ask for your customer list. If we ask about a possible bypass, answer honestly within 10 business days.
Back to contents

12. Commission and payouts

When a buyer pays through BizAppsMarket:

  • We take 10% of each payment (8% for founding developers during their first 12 months of sales), plus Stripe’s processing fees for that payment. These come off before your payout.
  • We are the merchant of record: the buyer pays us, and our name is on the receipt and the card statement. Stripe sends your share to your Stripe account on Stripe’s payout schedule.
  • Where we must collect sales tax on a sale, we collect it and pay it to the state.
  • Refunds and chargebacks come to us first. We recover your share of them from your next payouts, or invoice you if there are none. We do not keep commission on an amount we refund. Stripe does not return its fees on refunds, and chargeback fees are yours unless we caused the chargeback.
  • Free apps pay no commission.
Back to contents

13. Refunds and support you must honour

  • Refund minimum. Buyers who pay through BizAppsMarket can get a full refund within 14 days on their first purchase of your app or the first month of a subscription. We handle it and recover your share as section 12 explains. You may offer a longer period; if you state one on your listing, you must honour it.
  • Support. Your listing states a support email and a reply time, from “within 4 business hours” to “within 3 business days”. Reply within the time you state, and keep the address working. If you often miss it, we may step in, refund buyers, and take the steps in section 15.
  • Keep the app running for buyers who paid. If you will close the app, give buyers and us at least 30 days’ notice, and refund the unused part of any period paid in advance.
  • Customers’ data. Let customers export their data, or say on your listing how they get it back when they leave. You are responsible for handling your customers’ data lawfully under your own privacy policy.
Back to contents

14. Ratings

Ratings follow the rules in our Terms of service: they come only from businesses that paid through BizAppsMarket and used the app for at least 30 days. In particular, you must not:

  • offer money, discounts, free service or anything else of value for a rating, or for changing or removing one;
  • write, buy or arrange ratings for your own app or against anyone else’s;
  • pressure or retaliate against a buyer because of a rating.

You may reply once, publicly and civilly, to each review, and report a review you think breaks the rules. We do not remove a review because it is negative. Rankings use only our own data: inspection scores, ratings, and how many businesses keep using an app.

Back to contents

15. If these terms are broken

Most problems are honest mistakes. We handle them in this order:

  1. We ask you what happened, and listen to your side.
  2. We collect any commission owed, from your payouts or by invoice payable within 30 days.
  3. We send a written warning.
  4. We remove the listing, and may end the membership without a refund for the current period.

For serious breaches we may skip steps: fraud, malicious or hidden code, fake ratings, deliberately misleading buyers, or a confirmed critical security issue you will not fix. We always tell you what we found.

Back to contents

16. Our independence

BrainIT Consulting, the business that runs BizAppsMarket, also offers consulting and development work. It does no paid work on an app, including fixing issues from a review, while that app is under review or listed here.

No payment to us, whether for membership, extra reviews or anything else, changes a score, a ranking or an approval.

Back to contents

17. Confidentiality

We keep your non-public information confidential: code, test logins, findings, unreleased features and sales figures. We use it only to review your app and run BizAppsMarket, and share it only with staff and service providers who need it and must keep it confidential, or when the law requires. This does not cover information that is public, that we already had, or that we got lawfully from someone else. You keep our non-public information confidential in the same way, including anything you learn about other developers.

Back to contents

18. What you promise us

  • You own your app or have the right to sell it, and neither the app nor your listing infringes anyone’s rights.
  • Your app meets the laws that apply to it, including privacy and consumer protection laws.
  • Your app contains no malware, and it does not send customers’ data to anyone its privacy policy does not name.
  • You are allowed to let us test your demo and read your code as these terms describe.
  • What you tell us, in your listing and during the review, is true.
Back to contents

19. Liability

We provide the review and the listing “as is”. We do not promise that a review finds every problem, or that a listing brings you sales.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the membership fees, review fees and commission you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim. Nothing here limits liability the law does not allow us to limit.

You will defend us and cover our losses and reasonable legal costs if someone makes a claim against us because of your app, your listing, how you handle data, taxes on your sales, or your breach of these terms. Section 13 of the Terms of service says how.

Back to contents

20. Ending your membership, and delisting

  • You can cancel at any time (section 2). To take an app down sooner, email support@dreamforgeworld.com or use our contact form.
  • We may delist an app or end a membership under section 15, when an app no longer meets the pass rules after the time to fix it, or if we stop running BizAppsMarket. If we close BizAppsMarket, we give you at least 30 days’ notice.
  • Buyers who paid through BizAppsMarket keep the service they paid for. Serve them to the end of their paid period, or refund the unused part.
  • Commission already owed stays owed. The 90-day rule still applies to buyers introduced before your listing ended. Review evidence is kept as the Privacy policy says.
Back to contents

21. Changes to these terms

We post changes here with a new effective date. Changes to fees, commission or what you must do take effect at least 30 days after we email you. If you do not agree, cancel before then. Commission rates promised to founding developers stay as promised.

Back to contents

22. Law, disputes and contact

The governing law and disputes and general sections of the Terms of service apply to these terms too: the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and its courts.

The quickest way to reach us is our contact form. For legal notices and privacy requests, email support@dreamforgeworld.com. We run BizAppsMarket online only.
